The foundation of our craft took shape in the early 1940s, when Lewis Evans invested in a regional Bartile franchise in California. Driven by a vision of uncompromising quality, Evans soon acquired full ownership of the company and brought its future to Utah. He moved headquarters to Salt Lake City and established a dedicated manufacturing and production facility in Centerville, grounding the brand in local craftsmanship and pioneering concrete tile designed to endure the most punishing mountain climates.
